A distinguishing feature of the Evnur repousse Ottoman Collection is the clarity of the patterns. The patterns are well defined, well finished.This is achieved by the master going through two stages of beatings. In the first stage, the object is placed in a vessel filled with a warm tar mixture and the reverse of the pattern is transferred to the inside of object through endless ''sand sized'' strokes. This pattern then gets beaten from inside. In the 2nd stage, this process is reversed, beaten from outside to inside. This technique produces deep, sharp and well defined patterns.
